Hi! We are very excited to announce that we will be reopening our Gymnastics programs on Monday, June 1st. We want to take a moment to discuss what our game plan for reopening is and how we plan to keep our students and staff safe against the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
If you need contact us or have any questions, please email us at Siennagymnasticskarate@gmail.com.
Sienna Gymnastics COVID-19 Safety Procedures:
In order to maintain the safety of our students, we are implementing the following guidelines so that we may maintain a safe and healthy training environment at Sienna Gymnastics.
Parent & Student Guidelines:
- First and foremost, if any of the below apply to you, please stay home.
- If you have had a cough or fever within 14 days.
- If you have been living with someone who is sick.
- If you have been in contact with anyone that has had Covid-19.
- We STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you drop your child off and pick them up after class. Another option is to remain in your car while class is in session.
- If you absolutely have to be in the facility, we can only allow 1 parent/guardian per student and highly recommend that you wear a mask.
- If you are in the high-risk category (65 years of age or older or are immune compromised) we recommend that you not enter the facility for your own safety.
- Lounge seating will be spaced out in accordance to social distancing recommendations. Keep in mind this will limit the available seating.
- Upon arriving at our facility,
- A member of our staff will take your student’s temperature using a forehead thermometer. If your child experiences a temperature, they will not be allowed inside the facility and may schedule a make-up class by calling when they are well.
- At the same time, we will ask you to complete and sign a brief waiver regarding COVID-19.
- Any person entering the building (including coaches and parents) will be required to have their temperature taken as well, prior to entry. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will not be permitted to enter.
- There will be a designated entrance door and a different designated exit door for anyone entering/leaving the facility.
- All persons entering the facility will be required to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer immediately.
- Hugging or high-fiving will be replaced with air high fives.
- We will have hand sanitizer available at the gym, however, this is not a substitute for regular hand washing.
- Students will be spaced out in the gym in accordance to social distancing guidelines to the greatest extent possible.
- All water fountains will be closed. Students must bring their own water bottle to class.
- No attendance cards will be used. Staff will take attendance without the cards. Students do NOT need to check in at the front desk.
Our Staff & Instructors will be:
- Taking students temperature upon their arrival to the gym, before they enter the facility.
- Cleaning all equipment that was used by students between each class with our medical grade cleaner, which we already use throughout the facility.
- Wiping down all chairs, door handles, and frequently touched surfaces with our medical grade cleaner at regular intervals.
- Our instructors and staff will only be allowed to come to work if feeling completely well, and their temperatures will be taken daily.
Training:
- Students will be spaced out in the gym in accordance to social distancing guidelines to the greatest extent possible.
- Each student will have their own training area/equipment as much as possible. There will be no partner activities at this time.
- In general, our coaches will be maintaining social distancing. They will wear a mask when unable to social distance due to spotting.
This is an extremely difficult time and we are doing our best during this complex and ever-changing environment. We are thankful to be a part of such a loyal community committed to the heath and wellness of their families. Sienna Gymnastics & Karate is a small family run business and our family extends past our staff and instructors to our students and their families. We appreciate the support from our students and parents and we look forward to seeing you when we reopen!
